Cool Summer Program

Meals. Adventures. Memories. All Summer Long.

Join us this summer in Richland Parish for our Summer Feeding & Field Trip Program! We provide free, healthy meals to children and teens ages 5–18 while school is out. In addition to daily breakfast and lunch, youth will enjoy fun, supervised field trips to local parks, museums, farms, cultural sites, and more.

This program is designed to keep kids nourished, active, and learning throughout the summer in a safe, supportive environment. No registration or income requirement—just show up and enjoy!

165 Children Receive Winter Coats in Richland Parish | Cool Kids Inc.

Keeping Children Warm & Learning

Cool Kids Inc. distributed 165 winter coats to children and families across Richland Parish, addressing a critical but often overlooked barrier to student success: access to warm, adequate clothing during the winter months.

In rural and low-income communities, many families are forced to make difficult choices between utilities, food, and basic necessities like winter apparel. For students, lacking a coat doesn’t just mean discomfort—it can lead to missed school days, health risks, and social stigma that impacts confidence and classroom engagement.

The Wellbeing Project

The Wellbeing Project is a comprehensive, community-based initiative designed to support the emotional, mental, and physical wellness of youth and families in underserved communities. Through health education, arts-based therapy, mentorship, and holistic support services, we are creating safe spaces where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive.

Cool Kids by the Numbers

What We Achieved

Cool Kids Inc is a program created in direct response to a growing number of young people that are either falling through the cracks, suicidal/depressed, bullied or are already entangled with the juvenile court system.

Cool Kids wants to change the narrative. We will offer at-risk youth the opportunity to make a dramatic change in their lives through free support and leadership opportunities. The program is positioned to be accessible to young people who otherwise would be swept into the juvenile court system
or frequent school detention.

Community Builder

Partnering With Senator Katrina Jackson

Our Cool community initiative partnered with Senator Katrina Jackson and Madison Parish School Board to create a safe space for Madison Parish children for the summer . The community initiative focused on community development learning, leadership and community clean up within our local communities. For example, Cool Kids will do free lawn care service to the elder and other communities’ member who might afford it. Cool Team will do community clean up of neighborhood lots in sponsorship with the towns’ administrations.

Summer Free Tutoring

At Cool Kids Inc., we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed in school—regardless of their background or financial situation.

That’s why we offer completely free tutoring services for students ages 6 to 18 in our community. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead, our trained volunteers and caring mentors are here to help.

This campaign is about making dreams happen and helping the community. Opportunity and entrepreneurship will be at the heart of this division. Our goal is not money but expanding opportunity and entrepreneurship in depressed areas. We believe everyone has a “cool” idea and we have partnered with Cool Designs Workshops to support and invest in those “Cool” ideas. This foundation will fund different campaigns, grants, initiatives.
