Cool Kids Inc. is a youth development and community organization based in Rayville, Louisiana, serving children, teenagers, young adults, and families throughout rural Northeast Louisiana.

Through mentoring, education, career readiness, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, summer programming, food access, and community partnerships, we help young people discover what is possible and give them opportunities to begin building toward it.

Small Town Roots. Growing Impact.

Impact

Cool Kids Inc is a program created in direct response to a growing number of young people that are either falling through the cracks, suicidal/depressed, bullied or are already entangled with the juvenile court system.

Cool Kids wants to change the narrative. We will offer at-risk youth the opportunity to make a dramatic change in their lives through free support and leadership opportunities. The program is positioned to be accessible to young people who otherwise would be swept into the juvenile court system
or frequent school detention.

Opportunity Should Not Depend on Your ZIP Code.

Growing up in a rural community should never mean growing up with fewer dreams.

But for many young people across Northeast Louisiana, distance, transportation, limited resources, lack of exposure, and economic barriers can make opportunities feel farther away than they really are.

Cool Kids exists to help close that distance.

We work in schools, neighborhoods, community spaces, and our own facility to connect young people with education, mentors, employers, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and experiences that can change how they see their future.

And sometimes it simply means making sure a young person knows that someone in their community sees potential in them.

Since 2015, we have grown from a local idea into a community driven organization supporting youth through education, mentoring, employment, entrepreneurship, food access, and experiences that help them see what is possible. 165 Children Receive Winter Coats in Richland Parish | Cool Kids Inc.

Keeping Children Warm & Learning

Cool Kids Inc. distributed 165 winter coats to children and families across Richland Parish, addressing a critical but often overlooked barrier to student success: access to warm, adequate clothing during the winter months.

In rural and low-income communities, many families are forced to make difficult choices between utilities, food, and basic necessities like winter apparel. For students, lacking a coat doesn’t just mean discomfort—it can lead to missed school days, health risks, and social stigma that impacts confidence and classroom engagement.

Cool Kids Youth Service wants to sponsor innovation and talent within our young teenagers and adults so they can find their purpose, make a commitment to their communities, and acquire 21st Century skills as they solve complex problems facing our communities through youth development and mentoring

Operation:

Partnering With Richland Parish

Our Cool community initiative partnered with Senator Katrina Jackson and Madison Parish School Board to create a safe space for Madison Parish children for the summer . The community initiative focused on community development learning, leadership and community clean up within our local communities. For example, Cool Kids will do free lawn care service to the elder and other communities’ member who might afford it. Cool Team will do community clean up of neighborhood lots in sponsorship with the towns’ administrations.

Summer Free Tutoring

At Cool Kids Inc., we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed in school—regardless of their background or financial situation.

That’s why we offer completely free tutoring services for students ages 6 to 18 in our community. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead, our trained volunteers and caring mentors are here to help.

One-on-one and small group tutoring
